Dinners
Children may remain at school or go home for lunch. If children remain at school they may bring a packed lunch or have a school meal. The cost of a school meal is £2.60 per day. School meals are to be paid online using Arbor. (Children in Reception and Years 1 & 2, currently receive a free school meal provided through the Government's Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.)
Parents book the meals in advance, we suggest discussing this with your child so they are aware of what you are ordering for them. Children cannot choose or change their mind at school.
Somers Heath Primary are no longer able to take any cash or cheque payments. Parents are responsible for setting up an account with Arbor to order and pay for school meals. If you experience any issues in setting up or using your Arbor account, please contact the school office for assistance.
Parents are encouraged to apply through Thurrock Council/the school office for Free School Meals for their children if they are receiving Income Support or Jobseeker’s Allowance.
School staff provide effective supervision at all times for children on the premises at lunchtime.
